This portion of the website is intended to assist everyone to be as informed as possible before attending the Grandview Mud Bog Weekend. Additionally, this information is ‘notice’ regarding important details and conditions related to your involvement as a SPECTATOR and/or a PARTICIPANT (driver).
This disclosure will be updated periodically, and it is recommended you revisit this information within 24 hours of attending the festival to be sure you are up to date. Furthermore, it is the responsibility of every attending adult to honour these conditions among each other including supervising youth and children accordingly.

Upon arrival to the festival, all public access to Grandview, Manitoba - Wilson Park (the festival grounds) will be through either the northern “Campground/Kitchen” Gate or the southern “Museum” Gate. Signage will be posted to help direct traffic. Parking will be limited to designated areas. Note that on Saturday, public access through the Museum Gate will be LIMITED from 10am to 6pm for drivers’ use during the Mud Bog main event.
The Gate representatives will greet you as you approach the gate entrance.
If you have pre-registered/pre-paid online, please have the confirmation email (that you will receive upon pre-registering online - check your spam folder or contact us if nothing is received shortly after purchase) available for gate representatives to authorise. Any passes required upon your arrival that are not pre-registered/pre-paid will require payment in cash.

(Please keep wristbands on all weekend since they are indication that gate fees have been paid)
(ADULTS may be required to show ID to verify age for bar purchasing privileges)
The following 3 camping accommodation options will be available:
1. ON-site (ON the grounds) – Serviced RV Sites – traditional numbered camp sites along river. NOTE that currently all serviced sites have been pre-booked for 2024.
2. ON-site (ON the grounds) – Non-serviced RV or Tent – designated areas along fencing or in marked areas of ball diamonds. No camp fires allowed in overflow camping.
3. OFF-site (OFF the grounds) – Non-serviced RV or Tent – overflow rush-style parking at 12 Jackson Street South (across from Grand Vieux Liquor Company next to railroad tracks) – FREE
(NOTE: limited hotel/motel resources in Grandview; Gilbert Plains, Roblin, and Dauphin are next closest)

Options 1 and 2 will require a camping pass/tag that will be available at the main gate upon entry. Passes for on-site camping options will cost $15ea per day/night to cover general maintenance and clean up. (Friday and Saturday total $30. Cash payments requested at Rec Concession Booth.) Each camping pass will cover the authorised use of (1) one designated spot. Maximum limit of 6 settlers is requested per spot.

Option 3 (Off the grounds) camping spots will be available on first-come, first-served basis.
(Option 3 areas will request that campers/patrons be respectful of the community and only use the camping/parking accommodations accordingly. Generally, be respectful to others, keep the areas/streets clean (especially upon your departure) and no noise after 11pm for off-site areas)
General parking is available to everyone ON site (ON festival grounds) for FREE in designated parking areas. Domestic vehicles only such as cars, trucks, SUVs, bikes, etc.
RVs, Campers and Trailers will require a camping pass to park on-site, even if they do not intend to stay overnight. There is a limited amount of space on-site so the standard $15 per day per vehicle will apply. Vehicles and trailers will NOT be allowed to drive through the pedestrian gated areas/festival grounds from Thursday through Sunday, so please use the appropriate roadways to access your site.
Overflow parking OFF-site on the public streets and/or designated overflow camping areas will be available for FREE. Please use standard parking rules and refrain from blocking public access routes, roadways, or private driveways.
FREE WIFI will be provided at Wilson Park for the festival courtesy of Grandview Municipality.
FAQs
Each online pre-registration purchase will request the name, address and phone number contact information of (the purchaser). There will also be an option for the purchaser to identify a (registrant) (if passes are being purchased for others) that can register your purchase upon their arrival to the festival. Registrants must be 18 years of age or older. (ADULT). Identification will be required by the purchaser/registrant upon arrival and must match the designated name(s) listed at the point of purchase. Once the purchase is registered, the festival database will be updated so the purchase can only be used once as necessary upon the initial entry to either entry gate where you will be given wrist bands to enter the festival based on your purchase.
Yes, on site passes/registration(s) can be purchased upon your arrival to the festival AS LONG AS the festival has not reached maximum capacity of 2000 people. The max capacity has been determined based on the limits of the festival grounds as well as the safety and comfort of everyone on site. If maximum capacity is reached the website will be updated to notify the public immediately. Preregistering will help to secure your spot(s).
Drivers can preregister online in advance OR on-site during check-in as long as maximum driver entries have not been sold out in advance. If maximum capacity is reached the website will be updated immediately to inform the public.

YES! As of 2024, merchant services will be available at both gates, the bar, and GKCC Hall (Muddy Waters BBQ). Preregistering online for day/weekend passes and driver registration fees require credit card payment. Some locations/activities (e.g. mechanical bull) require cash payment, so please prepare accordingly. **Rec Concession is cash only!**
ATMs for cash withdrawal are available at Sunrise Credit Union, King’s Lodge Hotel, and J&D Corner Store on Main Street.
Yes! You are authorized to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages with you to the festival. There are also services available on the festival grounds (and within the community) to take advantage of. Clean drinking water will be available at the food service areas.
Alcohol beverages are available on site and can only be purchased/consumed in the designated event area(s), i.e. the fenced area at Wilson Park.
NOTICE: DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN ALCOHOL. PER LGCA REGULATIONS, NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL ALLOWED UPON ENTRY TO THE PARK AND FESTIVAL GROUNDS, AND NO ALCOHOL FROM INSIDE THE GROUNDS MAY LEAVE.
As the FAQ’s are also intended to be ‘notice’ – any alcohol found on the grounds anywhere other than the designated area(s) will be confiscated. Bags will also be checked upon entry to the park and upon driver registration and any outside alcohol will be confiscated and your park pass potentially revoked. Please help us follow safe liquor guidelines.
Yes, event staff (as well as the community in general) are actively observing the environment for safety and security. Every year the festival has a well-balanced, friendly, and focused group of committed community members working together toward a successful safe festival experience. Security services are also utilized to assist with peak gathering activities and in particular during evening main event attractions. Please help us out and follow any directions from event staff and security personnel.
Yes, under the following conditions: (1) refund is requested by August 7, 2024. No refund requests will be considered after August 7, 2024; (2) refund will be sent electronically to the original purchaser only on their original medium of payment. All refund requests will be processed together at once during the week prior to the Mud Bog; (3) a 25% administration fee based on the entire amount of the refund request may apply. (For example: a $40 refund request would receive a $30 refund after deducting the administration fee.) If all conditions are met, please send a refund request email to general inquiries – contact.
